Description The VAS1086Q is a 10 ~ 400mA programable constant current sink provides cost-effective solution for automotive LED lighting application. The device only needs two external components, a current setting resistor from SET to ground, and a ceramic bypass capacitor from VIN to ground, the monolithic solution lowers system level component counts and significantly improves current accuracy and reliability. The device can be connected in parallel to obtain higher power output. The PWM Pin of the VAS1086Q is a functional reuse Pin, which can be tied to the high voltage, VBAT for example, or let it floating for normal operation, or connect to a micro-controller for PWM dimming. VAS1086Q will automatically reduce the output current when the die temperature reached 120¡ãC, this feature avoids LED blinking. The device also integrates over temperature protection.
